Hello!
I just signed on to yahoo messenger and my friend has told me that she received messages from saying to go on a certain website(scam). Anyway, obviously I didn't write this and I wasn't even signed in at the time. Any idea what to do about this? I have NEVER given out my password or told any friends what it is. I own a mac with all security settings checked and I just don't see how this could have happened. I'm quite worried as you can acceshow to download audio from youtube yahoos my emails(which are private) from messenger without entering a password.
Last night I downloaded a song from vid2mp3.com(youtube-audio converter) but I doubt this has anything to do with this as 1.) I have a mac 2.)nothing else has happened.
Anyway any ideas on whats happened and how to solve it will be more than welcome!

When my Hotmail account was hacked I changed my password and asked my how to download audio from youtube yahoofriends to tell me if they receive any unusual emails again, and no more scam emails have been sent from my account. This could have happened from software you may have downloaded which contained spyware or a key logger, but I'm afraid there is no way of really finding out how your account was hacked. So change your password, report it and if scam mail is still sent from your account then make a new account.
