I'm a uni student and my uni records the lectures and I need them to study. But it's a streaming link and I can't be at the computer for an hour i want to download it on an mp3 player. How can I do this please please?
(btw i do go to the lecture but history teacher speaks too fast and i dont understand him so thats why i need it)
Hi, to download videos directly from the youtube or any other site which streams ,you can use "internet download manager" latest version 5.18. in this you will get a pop up on the top of the video to download it, just click on it and you download will start, for mp3 you can also try it, search on Google to download it.it is not a free version but you can use a trail version,Try it yourself, thank you
That aforementioned program is awesome, there's barely a site it can't download from, but as a "painstaking" alterhow to download audio from flash playernative if you really cant get it, set your recording input in your volume settings to stereo mixer, get audacity, (open source audio editor) open it and press record, then press play on your lecture, if you've done it right (and checked your volumes) you'll see audacity processing what is coming out of your speakers, once the lecture is done (you dont need to be there, and can turn the speakers down and come back in an hour..) press stop and convert it to mp3. if you like, before you record go into preferences, and change the recording format to stereo (2 channels) and maybe set the quality for mp3 and wav to be a bit higher than standard... all depends on how clear the lexture comes out.
You may need to download lame_enc.dll as well, which is the mp3 format encoder.
If you want just the audio for an MP3, go to www.mediaconverter.org, click the "Enter a how to download audio from flash playerlinkz' button, and copy and paste the link into the bar. Click OK, then click "go to next step". Select MP3 as the output type and click OK. Click Start, and it will convert the video to an MP3 file. When its done, there will be a button you can click to download the MP3 to your computer.
If you want the video and audio, you can do the same thing, just select a video format as the output type. You could also install the add-on "download helper" (if you use firefox) and that will put a button in your toolbar that will allow you to download the files.
Also, I know that it may seem to make more sense to click "browse youtube" rather than "enter a link", but that does a search on youtube, rather than entering a link for a video you already found.
